I’d used Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals products for years because it was one of the only products I found which didn’t trigger my acne. However, I did notice that if I wore it when I worked out or when I simply had to run from one class to another across my college campus, my face would feel like it was burning and would become really painful and irritated. I always thought it was just my acne acting up, until I learned that the bismuth oxychloride used in my Bare Minerals was probably causing this feeling. I switched to using Afterglow’s foundation, and haven’t had the burning feeling since! I love that it feels so light on my skin and yet gives great coverage, and the color matches my skin perfectly. I also have noticed that my skin itself seems to be improving, which is another great bonus!

I found your product by doing a Google search for organic/mineral makeup. After doing some reading up on it, I thought it would be a good alternative to try, rather than The Bodyshop products I had been using, and not having much luck with.
I have only used your powder foundations, so I can only speak of those, but I was truly amazed the first time I used them. I had never had a "concealer" work so well. I have suffered for the past 20 years from adult acne, and there have been days when I won’t leave the house, have canceled appointments etc, because of bad breakouts/scaring. Your makeup, in some ways, has given me back my life and has certainly helped my self confidence level. Thank you for making such a wonderful, natural, helpful product. I recently went to Sephora and was talked into trying a makeup brand which advertises itself as being natural and “98% free” of preservatives, allergens, and other chemicals. Well, imagine my surprise when I got home and used that makeup and had a bad allergic reaction! My eyes watered and turned red, and I got scaly patches on my eyelids. I looked at the ingredients for the eyeshadows I purchased, and was shocked to see that they were loaded with chemicals and preservatives, I guess these eyeshadows were part of the 2% the company does use chemicals and preservatives in! I took the makeup back, and went online to find some real natural makeup that wasn’t full of chemicals. I was happy to find Afterglow and see that no preservatives or irritating chemicals are used in your products, and was even happier with the makeup itself. I wore my new Afterglow makeup while moving, and my makeup looked just as great at the end of the day as it did when I first applied it in the morning. Thanks for being such a forward-thinking, honest company that makes great makeup!

Finding Afterglow lipsticks changed my life because it was the first time I could wear a lipstick that was safe for me. I have to use gluten-free products since I'm gluten intolerant and it’s so difficult finding makeup (particularly things that go on your mouth!) so to find a lip product that is gluten-free is amazing! My favorite lipstick is Lovely and it's so nice to be able to use a safe and beautiful product!

My name is Heather and I have been using afterglow products since August of 2009. I started out with a Light Glow Kit and the Pure Soul Mascara and it was love at first sight. My next order was in December of 2009. I have rosacea and since I was so happy with my started kit, I ordered the Organic Calm Cover. The Organic Calm Cover is a Godsend as it covers up my red blotches around the cheek and nose area. However, I love each and every product I've purchased thus far. I am so excited to try all your products in the future. The Soul Mascara is the best mascara I've ever used period! To know you are using all natural products is so important to me. I love, love, love the creamy texture of your Organic Aloe Vera Concealer, it goes on with a pillow like softness and blends in so effortlessly. I love the fact that I am covering up my uneven spots, with a product that is actually good for my skin! But the best part is that my boyfriend, who has Celiacs disease, can kiss my face without me first pulling away to think about what products I have used today.
